Admissions

The Waldorf School of Baltimore's programs begin in early childhood and continue through the 8th grade. In addition to lower, and middle school programs, Waldorf provides stimulating and nurturing nursery and kindergarten classes. Waldorf also offers a program for parents or caregivers to attend with their infants and toddlers that reflects the current thinking of child development professionals.

Children's Garden

Parent & Child

Parent & Child classes are for infants and toddlers, expectant mothers, parents, and caregivers. Classes meet once each week during the fall, winter, and spring.

Spring Parent Child Classes (6 weeks - 1 class per week)

Infant class          May 2 -June 7                              Thursday  11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Toddler class       May 2 - June 7                             Thursday    9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Toddler class      May 3 - June 8                              Friday         9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Summer Parent Child Classes (3 weeks - 2 classes per week)

Infant/toddler class         July 30 - August 14         Tuesday and Wednesday 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m.

Transitional Nursery

The Transitional Nursery Program is designed for children coming to school for the first time. The perfect step from home to school. This morning or afternoon program (8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. or 12:45 p.m. to 3:15 p.m.) is for children aged 2 1/2 years to 3 1/2 years old.  To complete an online inquiry form click here.

Nursery Program

Our Nursery Program is for children age 3 years old by August 1st of the year of enrollment to 4 1/2 years old. The Nursery Program is a five day program with a 3 day option available. Children can enroll for full day classes or the morning classes.  To complete an online inquiry form click here.

Kindergarten Program

The Kindergarten Program is a five day class for children ages 4 1/2 to 6 years old. Our younger children, ages 4 1/2 to 5 years old, can attend for five full days or five morning. Our 5 to 6 year olds attend the program designed to prepare them for first grade which runs for 5 full days. 

All classes begin at 8:30 a.m. Full day classes are dismissed at 3:00 p.m. Half day classes are dismissed at 12noon. Early birds can arrive at 7:30 a.m. After school care is available for full day children.   To complete an online inquiry form click here.

Lower and Middle Schools

Classes begin at 8:15 a.m. All students can arrive at 7:30 a.m. There is an Early Birds arrangement for 1st and 2nd grade students. Dismissal is at 3:25 p.m. for the lower and middle schools. After-school care is available.  To complete an online inquiry form click here.

After-School Care

The Aftercare Program is designed to meet the needs of children ages 3 years old and older whose parents require quality, supervised childcare between school dismissal time and 6:00 p.m. For more information contact the Admissions Office.
