Admissions Process
The instructions below will guide you through the admissions process. Please contact the Admissions Office at (410) 367-6808 ext. 203 or pwhitehead@twsb.org to request an application package or if you have any questions.
We encourage you to call to arrange a tour, a valuable experience that will help you learn about our program before you apply. (410) 367-6808 ext. 203 or bmochan@twsb.org.
Step 1
The first step in the application process is to complete and return the application form. You can obtain a copy of the application form by:
- Downloading the Application for Admission (PDF) and mailing it with a check for $50, or
- By requesting an information pack and application materials. We will mail these to you.
Applications must be received by February 1. After this date, please contact the Admissions Office for space availability at (410) 367-6808 ext. 203.
Step 2
The next step is to complete the checklist of admission procedures, appropriate to the grade you are applying for.
Preschool, Kindergarten, and Grades 1 - 5
- Common Referral Form and Transcript Release Form to be forwarded by parents to current school or daycare provider.
- Admission visit for child: for nursery and kindergarten children faculty meet and assess children during the morning. First Grade applicants visit during the afternoon. Applicants to Grades 2 - 5 visit for two full days in their current grade level or with their appropriate age group. During their visit, they meet with a teacher for an academic assessment.
- Parent Interview.
Middle School, Grades 6-8
- Common Referral Form and Transcript Release Form to be forwarded by parents to current school.
- Students take ISEE (Independent School Entrance Examination).
- Admission visit for student. Applicanats visit for two full days in their current grade level or with their appropriate age group. During their visit there will be a short academic assesment and an informal interview.
- Parent Interview.
Upper School, Grades 9-12
- Common Referral Form and Transcript Release Form to be forwarded by parents to current school.
- Student takes ISEE (Independent School Entrance Examination).
- Student Application Form
- Student visit: applicants visit for two days this includes an academic assessment and a short informal interview.
- Parent Interview
Step 3
Applicants are notified of decisions on March 1, 2010, in line with the AIMS guidelines and agreements. If accepted, the completed enrollment contract and a deposit are due to reserve your child's space in the school by April 1, 2010.
