Other Fees

Aftercare Program: The Waldorf School of Baltimore is committed to providing a quality after school program for our students. Times and fees will be provided upon request.

Application fee: $50

Enrollment deposit: An enrollment deposit of $500 per child is due with the return of the enrollment contract. Together, they reserve your child's space in the school. The full enrollment deposit is applied toward tuition. The application fee and enrollment deposit are nonrefundable.

Music lessons: All 4th through 8th grade students are required to study an orchestral instrument and participate in our orchestral program. Parents are responsible for weekly individual instrument lesson fees and instrument rental or purchase. Typical costs are $18 - $25 per week for private lessons, and $20 - $35 per month for most instrument rentals. The cello and bass are more expensive.

All upper school students are required to participate in one of the ensemble programs. For the Jazz/Rock program, parents are responsible for weekly individual instrument lesson fees and instrument rental or purchase. For the Classical Guitar class, the school will provide basic classes and instruments, but parents may be expected to ensure students receive additional instruction depending on their skill level. This will be arranged with the Upper School Music Department.

Miscellaneous fees: Other fees may include after-school sports or any arts program and minor incidental expenses for field trips and class projects.

Tuition Payment Plans

The full tuition due may be paid by check or money order directly to the school by June 1. The school also offers a two-payment plan, a nine-payment plan, and a financial aid payment plan (11 payments for families receiving financial aid) through the FACTS Management Company. The annual FACTS enrollment fee is $15 for the two-payment plan and $41 for the nine- or financial aid payment plan per family. Payments through FACTS are made automatically from either a savings or checking account, and families may choose a payment start date of May 20 or June 5. Families may also elect to pay their tuition by credit card (MasterCard, Discover, or American Express only) through FACTS. The credit card option has a convenience fee in addition to the enrollment fee. Enrolled families become liable for the full tuition on June 1, and the obligation to pay the tuition for the full academic year is unconditional.
