Visitors to the Waldorf School of Baltimore are initially struck by the school's environment. First of all, it looks a little different than other kindergarten through twelfth grade schools. What makes a more lasting impression, however, is the sense of joy people notice as students move throughout the campus–as they arrive to begin the day, as they travel between classes, and during their departure in the afternoon.

Waldorf students are composed, calm, and enthusiastic. These are children who will grow into young adults with inner direction and purpose. Teachers and staff build a cooperative environment where learning is nurtured.
