The Waldorf School of Baltimore has been guided by three core beliefs since the school's beginning in 1971that every child is unique, that every child is gifted and talented, and that human possibility is infinite. The Waldorf Program nourishes those beliefs. Our teachers understand that children are not merely empty vessels that need filling. Students are encouraged, in fact, expected to try new things, to test new ideas. They develop a lifelong passion for learning. In addition to exploring history, language, math, and science, every student draws, paints, sings, and dances. They bake bread and build furniture. They use art to explore ideas and ideas to explore art. This is a unique educational experience in Baltimore, Maryland, which is why the Campaign for the Waldorf School is so vital to our students', our families', and our community's growth and well being.
As we are reaching toward our goal, we are providing students the opportunity to complete the Waldorf experience, from their earliest years until they graduate from the upper school. By supporting the new upper school we give students the chance to continue the hands-on, multi-dimensional approach to learning.
What could be more important to a child than a school that will unlock his or her potential? What could be more important to parents than knowing that everything possible is being done in the school to bring out the best in their sons and daughters? What could be more important to a world than a school that produces creative problem-solvers, enlightened global citizens, and visionary leaders?
We invite you to share our dream by considering the needs of your children, your community, and your world by investing your time and financial resources in an effort that will produce a lifetime of rewarding dividends.
