100 Years of Waldorf -Parent Breakfast

Date / Time:
Thursday, September 19, 2019 - 8:30am - 9:30am

Celebrate: Waldorf is 100 today

What: Celebrate with us the 100th Anniversary of Waldorf Education. Join us to enjoy a parent (and small children) breakfast, conversation, and to help make cards to send out around the world – no previous skill needed.

Where: in the Handwork Room (2nd floor) from 8:30 to 9:30am on Thursday, September 19th.

Why: 100 years ago on September 19th the first Waldorf school was opened in Stuttgart by Rudolf Steiner, Austrian educator, philosopher, and social reformer.

Today, there are over 1,100 Waldorf schools worldwide and almost 2,000 Waldorf kindergartens in some 80 countries around the globe. And more are opening all the time.

As an educational network that stretches across the world, we are making our Centennial an occasion to further develop Waldorf education for contemporary times, and focus more consciously on its global dimensions with many exciting projects on all continents. Be part of the movement: 100 years are just the beginning!
