Susan Nierenberg earned her B.S. from Wilmington College of Ohio in biology. She completed a M.S. at Ohio State University in microbiology. Susan is a Maryland State certified teacher and received a MAT at Towson University (Masters in the Art of Teaching). She has Waldorf Teacher Certification from Antioch University New England.
Susan took a class from first grade through eighth grade at the Waldorf School of Baltimore from 1993 to 2001. During her time at the school she served on the Board of Directors and as Collegium Chair.
Susan taught as a long term substitute at the McDonogh School in middle school science and math and upper school math. Susan then taught for 10 years as a high school science teacher in the Baltimore County Public Schools. She is happy to be back in the Waldorf environment and working as a class teacher.
Susan’s interests include learning about nature, anything with animals, and knitting.
