Laura Connelly is an alumna of the Waldorf School of Baltimore. After graduating from Waldorf in 2000, Laura attended the John Carroll School in Bel Air, Maryland, and then Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland, where she graduated with a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. After college, Laura took a position at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, first as a biologist doing watershed and shoreline assessments, and then as a planner, working policy and management of the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays Trust Fund to improve water quality in the Bay watershed. In July 2014, Laura took a position as a green infrastructure project manager at the Parks & People Foundation where she works to make Baltimore a greener, healthier place through environmental restoration projects that also provide community uplift. She is also working on a MS in Environmental Sciences and Policy at Johns Hopkins University. Laura is grateful for her Waldorf education – for the nurturing environment and practical skills, the dear friends and inspiring community, and for appreciating the world around us.
