Kelly Emerson is the parent of Emmy ('14), Wilson (4th), and Connor (Kindergarden). Kelly graduated with a BA in History from Lafayette College, and holds a PhD in Medieval History from The Johns Hopkins University. She has taught at Johns Hopkins as a Teaching Assistant and a Dean’s Fellow. Kelly first came to the Waldorf School of Baltimore through the school’s Parent-Child Class in 2003 with her daughter Emmy. Emmy was a WSB student from 2003 until 2006. During that time, Kelly served on the WSB Marketing Committee and volunteered in the Children’s Garden and the WSB Summer Program. From 2006 until 2010, Kelly and her family lived in Barcelona, Spain, where her children attended the two Barcelona area Waldorf schools: “Rosa d’Abril” and “El Tiller.” Kelly has lived in the U.S., England, Belgium, Russia, and Spain and speaks French and Spanish. Kelly’s husband, Earle Pratt, was previously a member of the WSB Board of Trustees. Kelly currently teaches part time at MICA in the Humanistic Studies department, and serves on the Cromwell Valley Park Council.
