Noris Friedman earned a BA in Psychology and a teaching certificate at Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, New York; Eurythmy Diploma from Eurythmeum, Stuttgart, Germany; Eurythmy teaching certificate from Emerson College, Sussex, England. She began teaching eurythmy, assisting in the nursery, and working in the office at the Waldorf School of Baltimore in January, 1983. She taught in public and alternative schools after college and prior to her employment at WSB. She has been teaching, performing, and giving courses at the Waldorf School of Baltimore for 31 years. She has served as Collegium chair, Children’s Garden chair, Lower School chair, board member, and on many committees at the school. Noris served on the Eurythmy Association of North America (EANA) council as corresponding secretary and president. Every summer she goes to Alaska with her family in their commercial salmon fishing business. Noris spends her free time baking, cooking, dancing, traveling, gardening, and taking photos.
