Application Process

The application process is your first exciting step toward becoming part of our vibrant school community, and we’re here to make it smooth and enjoyable. Below, you’ll find a simple, step-by-step guide to help you through each stage.

Step One: Complete the Application Form

We’re so excited that you’re considering the Waldorf School of Baltimore! If you haven’t already done so, the first step is to complete our Inquiry Form. you will then be able to move straight on to the application.

Step Two: Family Zoom and School Tour

Once we receive your application, we’ll invite your family to an online Zoom interview with our Admission Director, Ilene Wise. During this time, we’ll also schedule a personalized tour of our beautiful campus so you can experience WSB in action firsthand.

Step Three: Submit Common Referral and Transcript Release Form

We’ll ask that you forward our Common Referral and Transcript Release Form to your child’s current school or daycare provider (if applicable). This helps us gather important information to better understand your child’s journey.

Step Four: Admission Visit

For our Preschool and Kindergarten applicants, we invite your child to visit the classroom for a morning of fun and learning with their peers.

For Grades 1-8, we encourage a two-day visit to experience daily life at Waldorf. Your child will spend time in their current grade level or age group and meet with our reading and math specialist.  After the visit/s, we’ll schedule a Parent Meeting with Admission Director, Ilene Wise, and the Class Teacher to discuss your child’s experience.

Step Five: Acceptance Notification

We will notify you of our decision in February following AIMS guidelines. Once accepted, you’ll receive an invitation to reserve your child’s space. To secure their spot, we ask that you submit the completed enrollment contract and deposit by the date indicated.

Please contact Admission Director, Ilene Wise, if you have any questions by phone (410) 367-6808 ext. 202 or email.

Every day at Waldorf is magic for children, even up through higher grades. Thinking about it now, my time at Waldorf was the greatest gift my parents could have given me. My education encouraged creative problem-solving, nurtured my appreciation of beauty and nature, and gave me the tools to influence the world around me in a positive way. I am thrilled my own children are now enrolled at WSB.– Laura, Class of 2000
