Waldorf 101: Virtual Open House

Join Admission Director, Ilene Wise, for a bite-sized, online introduction into what makes Waldorf so wonderful. We will explore 14 highlights of a progressive Waldorf School of Baltimore Education, leaving time for a question and answer session at the end. This thirty minute bite-size zoom is the perfect starting place on your admissions journey. Hosted 2x monthly throughout the year.

KidStock: Earth Week Concert & Community Celebration

Join families from across Baltimore to celebrate Earth Week with KidStock, a morning of live music, environmental education, and hands-on eco activities on Sunday, April 27, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The event will feature a performance by Latin Grammy winner Mister G who will lead a bilingual concert integrating science, ecology, and conservation themes, encouraging children to see themselves as stewards of the natural world.

Doors open at 9:00 a.m. Beyond the music, families are invited to explore the school’s wooded campus, including its nature trails, outdoor classrooms, and gardens.

Meet the gentle giants of the Animal World with a jazz combo and Maria Broom as your host. Elephants, Hippos and Bears are larger than life and center stage in this show.

Summer Solstice Family Soiree

Come dance the evening away at the Family Summer Solstice Celebration at the Waldorf School of Baltimore!

On Friday, June 20, from 5:00 - 7:00p.m., enjoy lively live folk music and contra dancing, led by expert callers—perfect for the whole family to get moving and celebrate the longest day of the year.

Alongside the dancing, indulge in refreshing lemonade and delicious honey cakes, and take part in a special intention-setting ceremony around the bonfire. Kids will love the fairy house-making station, where they can craft magical homes for woodland fairies.

This fun-filled event is a wonderful way to gather with friends and family, set intentions for the season, and enjoy the spirit of the solstice. We can’t wait to see you there!

Windows Into Waldorf

There is no end to the powerful stories parents have tell as their children flourish at Waldorf. Prospective Parents (Preschool 2's-4's, Forest Kindergarten, Kindergarten, Grades 1-8) are warmly invited to join us for a morning tour of our indoor and outdoor classrooms and play spaces, accompanied by those who know it best: Waldorf Parents. This casual yet powerful morning is not to be missed. Coffee and a few nourishing bites will be served.

(From the North)
From Intersection of I-695, Baltimore Beltway and I-83

  • Take I-83 South to the Cold Spring Lane exit (approx. 5 mi.).
  • Exit - At the end of the ramp bear right.
  • At the first traffic light, turn right on TAMARIND ROAD.
  • Follow it to the top of hill. School is on right. Park on street.

(From the South)
From I-95

  • Take I-95 North toward Baltimore.
  • Exit I-395, Downtown.
  • Turn right onto Conway Street.
  • Turn left onto Light Street. Go to next major intersection, approx. 2 blocks.
  • Pick up directions from ** below.

     

(From the South)
From 295 Baltimore-Washington Parkway

  • Take State Route 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) north to Baltimore.
  • Go all the way into the city (past football stadium and baseball stadium).
  • **Turn right onto Pratt Street. This is a wide street; stay in mid-left lane (past the Inner Harbor to the right.)
  • Turn left onto Presidents Street. In a few blocks it becomes I-83, Jones Falls Expressway. Go approx. 4 mi.
  • Exit Cold Spring Lane, West.
  • Turn right at the second traffic light, TAMARIND ROAD.
  • Follow it to the top of hill. School is on the right. Park on the street.
