May Admissions Events

We want more people in Baltimore to experience our school. Please tell your friends and communities about our school; invite them to attend a Windows Into Waldorf tour. Please consider attending one the following events and volunteering a few hours to help out at the Toddler Fair and on Market Day!

Mini-Morning May 9, 2015

Explore Waldorf with your child for a morning in the Children's Garden.

Participate in activities such as bread baking, singing, storytelling, puppetry, watercolor painting, finger-knitting and beeswax modeling. Be inspired by all student activities that develop concentration, small muscle development, and hand-eye coordination.

Find out why play is the serious work of childhood and is an essential part of the Waldorf early childhood classroom. Learning by doing provides the foundations for active imagination, problem solving, and creative thinking.

May Day & Grandparents Day

May Day

We look forward to celebrating May Day & Grandparents Day with our school community Friday, May 1 from 8:15 am - 3:00 pm. In ancient times, May Day was a celebration of nature’s revival after a long and cold winter. The Waldorf School of Baltimore celebrates May Day by honoring our students’ families, grandparents, and friends. We invite you to join us for a day filled with classroom activities and springtime festivities.  View the schedule below and share the event flyer.

"The Miracle Worker" showing April 17-18

The Miracle Worker

Every year, the 8th grade class at the Waldorf School of Baltimore performs a full-length play. It is the culmination of plays for the class. What makes it different from the plays performed in the lower grades is the significant time, planning, and teamwork needed to pull it off.

Parent & Child Class: April 30 - June 5, 2015

Parent & Child Class

Parent & Child classes lay the building blocks for elementary school. Science and math are introduced as tools for the exploration of movement and the physical properties of the natural world through play. Reading is rooted in language acquisition and the development of a rich imagination. Writing begins with strengthening the small motor skills. The teacher gently guides the natural play and interaction of the class towards healthy acquisition of these important skills, while the children do the activities at their own pace and in their own style.
