Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees at the Waldorf School of Baltimore plays a vital role in guiding the school’s vision, values, and long-term success.
The Board of Trustees at the Waldorf School of Baltimore ensures that the school operates with integrity, accountability, and a commitment to excellence. Its role is to oversee the school’s administrative policies, ensuring they meet fiscal, legal, and accreditation requirements (including those of the State of Maryland, AIMS, AWSNA, and WECAN). The board also ensures the operating budget is sound, evaluates the effectiveness of the Executive Director, and supports the development of a strategic plan that guides the school’s mission.
The Board’s primary responsibilities are administrative and strategic, and it works from a long-term, future-focused perspective. While it does not engage in specific academic or individual student matters, it fosters a collaborative, consensus-based approach, working closely with the Executive Director and faculty to guide the school forward.
