This Spring Book Club will be offered at two different times to accommodate many people’s different scheduling and needs. We begin on Tuesday, March 23 and continue through Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Both sessions on Tuesdays will be covering the same material. The first session will be held in the morning from 10 to 11 a.m. and the second in the evening time from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Noris will continue with the two options as long as there are at least five people who regularly attend. A group is needed in order to have good conversations together. Each week in the Waldorf Weekly, there will be an announcement of what chapter is being discussed.
"We will be starting on an adventure of learning about 'Our Twelve Senses: How healthy senses refresh the Soul,' by Albert Soesman. Yes, we have 12 senses, not just five. They are related to stages of child development. There are connections with the temperaments, with the Zodiac, with thinking, feeling, and willing….and much more. As we are continuing to meet online, it is so helpful to have a new book to read together and people with whom to share ideas, questions, and conversation. That is what we do in book club.
Each week there is an assigned chapter to read and then we talk about what we’ve read – ideas, questions, conversation, etc. Since there are usually two senses talked about in each chapter, we will spend two weeks on each chapter. Even if you don’t have time to read, please join in as we always learn together. This is the beginning of the spring season! New life is springing up in nature and how wonderful to take up new learning and exploring." — Noris Friedman.
