Elementary School

By blending imagination with intellectual rigor, artistic exploration, and a profound relationship with nature, Waldorf inspires confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning—ensuring that every child feels seen, capable, and eager to discover the world.

In the first five grades, learning is an extraordinary adventure. Stories bring history to life, math is explored through movement and rhythm, and science unfolds through hands-on discovery in nature. Students engage in a diverse range of subjects—including music, painting, woodworking, foreign languages, and practical arts—ensuring a well-rounded and deeply enriching education.

Curriculum At A Glance

We view curriculum as everything that happens during our time together with the children. We believe that each experience is an opportunity to grow, build relationships and foster a thriving community that nurtures children, teachers, and families.

My time at the Waldorf School was memorable and magical. I have grown to appreciate all of the eccentric, explorative ways we were taught to intersect with the world around us. I made friendships there that I hope will last a lifetime. I’m grateful for all the teachers, who invested in me as a student.

A Tapestry of Learning: The Power of Waldorf’s Integrated Approach

In Waldorf education, subjects are not taught in isolation but woven together like threads in a vibrant tapestry of learning. Academic disciplines seamlessly intertwine with artistic expression, movement, and hands-on experiences, creating a rich, cross-curricular approach that deepens understanding and nurtures a true appreciation for the interconnectedness of knowledge.

Here, every student is a painter, woodworker, singer, sculptor, naturalist, actor, fiber artist, and more. Subject classes are designed not just to teach skills but to cultivate essential capacities—curiosity, creativity, and confidence. Rather than specializing too soon or limiting themselves to what they believe they’re "good at," students are encouraged to explore boldly, create freely, and grow through every experience.
