Early Birds & AftercareWaldorf extended-day programs offer rich experiences ideal for busy families.
Our free Early Birds program and flexible, fee-for-service Aftercare program help families manage a wide range of busy schedules.
This complimentary program provides care for your student before the school day begins. Drop off for early birds begins at 7:30AM and closes at 7:45AM each morning. Students will enjoy their time primarily outdoors and should come to school dressed for the weather. Advance registration is required. Registration closes 8/14/122. To register after this date, or to unregister, please contact Cecilia Liss, Academic Director, CLISS@TWSB.ORG. https://waldorfschoolofbaltimore.ticketleap.com/early-birds-registration/.
Flexible Aftercare offerings can be structured to meet family needs. Students may attend Aftercare three or five days a week. Families must register for Aftercare online in the Parent Portal.
The Forest Explorers program at the Waldorf School of Baltimore is an important facet of our school community, both for our busy parents and for the students themselves.
At WSB, we recognize that today children are not spending as much time in nature as former generations. Our Forest Aftercare program is designed to provide a safe space for children to cultivate a deep bond with nature. Students enrolled in the Forest Explorers program spend most of their time outside in our outdoor classrooms and play spaces. Free play and nature exploration are key aspects of this program. We are outside nearly every day; rain, snow, or shine!
Aftercare will provide 30 minutes for students with homework. During severe weather warnings or thunderstorms, children participate in indoor activities.
