Christy Barron discovered Waldorf Education just before graduating college with a degree in Elementary Education. Upon graduation, she joined the Americorps VISTA Program and was placed in Ukiah, California to serve the community through literacy programs for children and families. After completing her year of service, Christy began working as the ECE/Kindergarten Assistant, Grades Specialty and Aftercare Teacher at the Waldorf School of Mendocino County, CA, before becoming a Grades Class Teacher. She received her Waldorf Grades Teaching Credential from the West Coast Institute for Studies in Anthroposophy in British Columbia in February 2023. Aside from her love working with young people, Christy loves participating in Dances of Universal Peace, aggressive roller skating, learning in any and all forms, and holds a deep love of nature.
