Janet was born and grew up in Bolivia. She earned her BA from Goshen College in Spanish, Intercultural Studies and Art. She taught English in for several years in Japan and then moved to Baltimore, where she worked for Catholic Charities – Immigration Legal Services representing immigrants in the process of obtaining legal status. When her daughter was born, Janet decided to be home with her two children (one of whom is currently at WSB, the other having graduated) and a couple years later, began working part-time at Brown, Goldstein and Levy as a translator/Spanish-speaking paralegal on fair labor and other cases. She did her Waldorf Foundation Studies at the Nova Institute and has taught Spanish in various settings including WSB. When she has some time, she likes to make things and dance.
