Caitlin Winegrove is an educator of over 10 years, with experience teaching in many different schools and settings. She has primarily taught Art to pre-Kindergarten through 5th Grade in the Baltimore area since 2009 and is thrilled to be joining the small, close-knit, and caring community at TWSB as the Grade One Class Teacher this year!

Caitlin graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Art & Art History and Secondary Education from Goucher College in 2009. She went on to complete a post-baccalaureate certificate program in Arts Integration in 2014 and earned her Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts Infusion in 2017, both through Towson University.

When she is not in the classroom, you can typically find Caitlin in the garden or out hiking.  She loves developing new creative skills, cooking and baking, and steadily DIY-ing her old rowhome.

Caitlin also enjoys camping and traveling near and far, including Iceland as the northernmost destination and as far South as South Africa. While on a Fulbright Hays program in Cuernavaca, Mexico in 2010, she was fortunate to meet Waldorf's Professional Development Director Andrea Naft, and her connection to the Waldorf School of Baltimore began.

Caitlin grew up in Pennsylvania, spending just as much time outdoors--exploring the woods behind her home, canoeing in the local river, visiting with the animals on her grandparent's farm--as she spent drawing, making, and performing in school plays and local theater. Deep reverence for nature and engagement in the arts have been common threads leaving from childhood through to the present.
